The Story Behind Mangú Restaurant

About Us

We are not a restaurant, we are a family

Welcome to d'mangu

Our legacy is born in a home of humble origins but abundant in love, one of the many traditionally Dominican kitchens in which women learned to cook at an early age instructed by elders. One of them is the matriarch of the family, Mama Aina and one of her daughters Altagracia (Doña Tago). They not only made sure that everyone in the house ate but that these meals were delicious and above all made with care.
By aquiring these skills Yesenia Cruz managed to become an expert in the culinary arts, adopting the passion of her ancestors and placing it in each dish she prepared.
Here at D’mangu you can find traditional Spanish dishes with delicious deep flavors made up of different ingredients and spices that create a balanced and tasty meal, honoring the legacy of Mama Aina and Mama Tago through passion and dedication in its preparation.
The purpose is that you enjoy our roots in each dish and that when you return you do not do it alone. Tell others how we do it at D’ Mangú, we are not a restaurant, we are a family
